Wadi Rum desert is dotted with towering high cliffs and stunningly shaped mountain. One of the spectacular natural phenomenon’s are rock bridges. Roll down a giant sand dune and climb atop the landscape’s towering rock bridges. The Rock Bridges are geological formations that have always held an irresistible attraction to those who enjoy the beauty of naturally sculptured stone. In Wadi Rum you can find five magnificent rock bridges located in and out the protected area.

Enjoy both the sunset and sunrise in this fabulous area by walking on these rock bridges.

Um Fruth Rock Bridge

The Um Fruth rock bridge is one of the most photographed places within the protected area in Wadi Rum desert, the bridge is about 15 meters up from the desert floor.

With directions and maybe some assistance of your tour guide, the steep climb is easy. The beautiful views over the yellow mountains of Um Fruth make up this big time. And if you decide not to climb the bridge it is still well worth to pay it a visit.

Burdah Rock Bridge

Burdah Rock Bridge also known as Jabal Burdah is considered to be one of the highest rock bridges in the world, Standing high 35 meters. It can be found at the southeast of the protected area. If you are reasonably fit, Burdah Rock Bridge hike is for you. It is one of the most rewarding hikes in Wadi Rum.
